About Ann
As you can probably tell, I love color! An artist wannabe, I have always been in tune to the effects of color on our moods, our outlook and our environment. I’ve been experimenting with color on the page as a graphic recorder for 3 years now. You’ll be seeing some of those results in upcoming blog posts and you can experience them for yourself by hiring me through my coaching business to do a visual business plan or a visual life map.
Just important as the images to me are the words. I’ve been writing articles and books for publication for the past 6 years and love putting the words together to help you tell your story. We all have a story to share and we all want to be heard. It’s an honor to record the work of small businesses and entrepreneurs for the publications that I do. I always learn something that can apply to my life.
I also wrote a book on goal setting for women called Goal Sisters: Live the Life You Want with a Little Help from Your Friends. I love seeing people’s dreams become reality with some strong visioning coupled with bold actions. I do a lot of small groups around this theme and love watching the results that people get.
And a lot of my time is spent helping people heal from loss. As a grief recovery expert, I am teaching what I know: every man in my life was dead by the time I was 16. As an only child who has since lost both grandmothers and my mother, there aren’t a lot of relatives left! I am blessed to have a supportive circle of friends to work and play with and they have become a second family to me.
On the personal front, I am a new home owner after surviving a deadly tornado, serve as board president for the local arts center, enjoy traveling (except for the airports), and love the water. It’s funny, I love water so much, yet I am living in Missouri. There are some good lakes around here and it is easy to get to the ocean, so I am content.
This blog is a place for us to share thoughts and ideas, and to really hear one another. Life is so busy; we’re not really present in our lives because we’re rushing and running. But this blog is a place for us to take a collective breath and focus on that which we hold dear: life and full out living.
